Listed below are suggested itineraries that will allow you to experience all the Sarasota Florida attractions.     • John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art - 5401 Bay Shore Road, 941.355.5101. Open daily 10a.m.-5:30p.m.. Admission $20 adults, $17 senior citizens 55 or older, children 6-17, students and Florida teachers with I.D. $7, children 5 & under FREE. Mondays: Complimentary admission to Art Museum. The state art of Florida features 21 galleries with some of the most impressive Renaissance and Baroque paintings in the United States. Other exhibits include tapestries, fans, decorative arts and rotating exhibits. The musuem complex also includes the Gallery of the Circus, the Ca'd'Zan Mansion and The Asolo Theatre. Guided Tours are availables for an additional fee.

    • Siesta Key Beach - A must see beach, centrally located and boasts the world's whitest sand. It was ranked Second in America's Top Beaches in 2009, by Dr. Beach and features volleyball nets, tennis courts, picnic pavilions and bathing facilities. Enjoy the Drum Circle every Sunday evening, one hour prior to the Famous Siesta Sunset. Local artists come together for an informal "music on the beach". If you do visit Siesta Key Beach don't forget to stop in at least one of the many bars and restaurants to quench your thirst and fill your appetite! You never know who you might run into. Free yoga on Siesta public beach every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9a.m. - 10a.m.
    • Finish the day with dinner at Marina Jack's -Two Marina Plaza. 941.365.4232,  A waterfront location offering a nice variety of food and service along with an excellent view of the Bay. Featuring four restaurant concepts in one location: Fine Dining, outdoor patio, indoor piano bar and lounge, and a banquet room. Also featuring daily lunch and dinner cruises on the Marina Jack II boat.

    • Main Street Shopping & Plaza Hollywood - Twenty movie theaters, restaurants, novelty shops, art galleries and theatres are located throughout the downtown area.
    • Downtown Sarasota Farmers Market every Saturday - rain or shine 7a.m. - Noon (at Lemon Avenue and Main Street. Buy Fresh - Buy Local - a collection of local farmers, craftsmen and artists in one beautiful open-air market. A Sarasota tradition for over 28 years! Don't miss FIRST FRIDAY NIGHTS LIVE! October-May Downtown Sarasota with live music and outdoor wine bars! Hyatt Regency Sarasota offers complimentary shuttle service to and from Downtown.
    • Owen's Fish Camp - 516 Burns Lane 941.951.6936. Sarasota Historian Owen Burns' 1920's Old Florida cottage, with all its charm, is the setting for this nostalgic casual, Old Florida style, seafood restaurant, located in historic Burns Court. The menu offerings range from raw bar, seafood baskets, sandwiches, to a daily choice of fresh fish entrees and sides.
    • Ceviche - This unique Spanish Restaurant is located in the historic Sarasota Times building, originally constructed in 1925. The 4-floor restaurant features an incredible rooftop bar with spectacular views downtown and the bay.
    • Mattison's City Grille- 1 North Lemon Avenue, 941.330.0440. Located in the heart of downtown Sarasota, this sidewalk bistro is perfect for Market Day, Saturday breakfast, Sunday Brunch, lunch, dinner, late night dining. Enjoy downtown's ambience and drinks at the outdoor bar with live music.

    • Marie Selby Botanical Gardens 900 S. Palm Ave, Sarasota 941.366.5731. Open daily 10a.m. - 5p.m. Admission: $17 adults, $6 children ages 6-11, children 5 and under are free. Features an extensive indoor and outdoor gardens, perhaps best known for its living collection of more than 6,00 orchids, ranked as one of the world's largest The Tropical Display House with its Riches of the Rain Forest exhibit. Wander the nature trails to observe the mangrove shoreline along the Sarasota Bay.

    • Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary - This Animal Extravaganza features exotic  animal performers across Florida. A safe haven for lions, tigers, bears, camels, horses, a chimpanzee, American buffalo and elephants.

    Take a drive down South...

    • Historic Spanish Point - Explore this 30-acre historical, archaeological and environmental museum overlooking beautiful Little Sarasota Bay in Osprey, Florida. Stroll through formal gardens and walk the Butterfly Garden (the largest in the gulf coast). Enjoy shady nature trails and stunning views from large boardwalks and scenic overlooks. View a recreated dwelling from 1,000 years ago; tour a home built in 1901 and a maritime heritage boatyard. Take seasonal excursions on Lizze G. a Florida style sharpie sailboat.
    • Venice Beach "Shark's Tooth Beach" - Venice Beach is famous for fossilized shark's teeth - some over 3 inches long! Take a walk along the shore and discover sharks' teeth. A fossilized coral reef located one-quarter mile offshore of this popular beach makes this a perfect spot for snorkeling and scuba diving. Beach is just blocks from downtown Venice. The main street, Venice Avenue, is a palm-lined boulevard with small shops and restaurants, as well as, Centennial Park. Water and play areas provide great entertainment for kids. Community events are planned year round for this unique city.

    • Anna Maria Island - One Florida charm is the essence of the seven-mile stretch of pristine island with every location literally a walk or bike ride away. The entire island is surrounded by exceptional water views where you can catch glimpses of bottlenose dolphins and manatees. There is even a nesting area for the endangered loggerhead turtles along the shore. This island is a bird sanctuary featuring many rare and endangered species. Anna Maria Island beckons beachcombers with an assortment of spectacular spots, including Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, Bean Point and Coquina Beach.

    • IMG Tennis Academy, Golf and Country Club - 4350 El Conquistador Pkwy Bradenton, FL 34210. Tee times: 7:00a.m. - 5:30p.m., Tuesday - Sunday. 18 Holes, Par 72. Pro Shop: 7:00a.m. - 5:30p.m. Tuesday - Sunday. Slender pines, majestic oaks and native foliage along scenic lakes make up this championship style golf course. At a course closed to the public, Hyatt Sarasota guests have the distinct privilege of playing this 18-hole course at the IMG Academy Golf and Country Club at a discounted rate. This sporty, challenging, and perpetually interesting course is set amidst natural Florida habitat. The practice facility consists of a driving range, putting green and a bunkered pitching hole. Featuring a new, state-of-the-art surface and irrigation system, IMG Academy is located approimately 8.5 miles away from Hyatt Sarasota. GUests of the Academy may also enjoy lunch or a quick mid-round break at The Half-way House, a casual setting for on the course enjoyment. 
    • Payne Park Tennis Courts - Payne Park is a favorite of tennis players, joggers and skaters alike. Visitors can play tennis in any of the 12 har-tru courts. The courts are used on a first come, first serve basis. Locker rooms and showers are on premises. Lessons are available. The courts are located just 1.5 miles from our Sarasota, Floria hotel

    Pet Companion Outings and Useful Information

    We are please to welcome you and your pet to the Hyatt Regency Sarasota Bay!

    In Sarasota, the Sarasota Paw Park is located on 17th Street and features seven acres of play space, a lighted area, a dog shower and a bulletin board for dog owners to share information.

    On Lago Street, Lakeview Park offers benches, tables, a 6-foot fenced in area, a hitching post, a time-out cage and plenty of trees and grass to explore.

    Other dog-friendly parks in the area include: Venice's Brohard Park on South Harbor Drive and the Woodmere Paw Park on Woodmere Park Boulevard. Happy Tails Dog Park, located a G.T. Bray Park in Bradenton, offers three acres - with areas for both large and small dogs, fresh waters, toys and a separate doggie time-out area. Also in Bradenton, dogs enjoy time on the beach along Palma Sola Causeway.
